Times On A Sunday.

I adore nothing more that reading the Times on a Sunday morning. Today an article on teenage pregnancy caught my attention.

'Breeding, writing, arithmetic' is about the rising number of pupils falling pregnant at Gloucester High in Massachusettes.

The journalist, Caroline Scott, sets up her opinion "Gloucester sits on the southeast tip of Cape Ann. In this staunchly Catholic enclave, contraception is not easily available" before quoting Bill Albert, of the National Campain to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, who blames Hollywood. "You'd have to be naive to think that what goes on in celebrity culture doesn't help to shape the social script for teenagers".

Scott then writes about the pricipal, Joseph Sullivan, who "was always set against offering any kind of contraception in school".

The article ends on a possitive note. "Under a new principal, Bill Goodwin, the school committee voted for condoms and birth-control pills to be distributed to all students".

A thought.

Bill Albert and Joseph Sullivan are twats.
